Chef Christoffel Beycope was born to an English father who lived in Eastern Europe and a French mother who lived in England and South America. Christoffel was born in Rayleigh, Essex. He attributes his eclectic cooking style to the influence asserted on him by his parents’ upbringing, his love of la difference and his unique culinary training. And Rayleigh, Essex.
He did his training with Jamie’s Olives co. and models his restaurant on Heston Services.
He has won awards and accolades from some of the world’s most famous food magazines – far too famous to mention here. That would just be boasting.
Christoffel is an ancient mid-European name, a variant now rarely used and Beycope has its roots in French. He is beyond doubt exactly what you get when you rearrange the letters in his full name.
